#Manifold Benefits of Meditation
1. MEDITATION AND ITS BENEFITS : The benefits of meditation are manifold. It is an essential practice for mental hygiene. A calm mind, good concentration, clarity of perception, improvement in communication, blossoming of skills talents, an unshakeable inner strength, healing, the ability to connect to an inner source of energy, relaxation, rejuvenation, and good luck are all natural results of meditating regularly.
2. MEDITATION FOR CONSCIOUSNESS : Meditation is a practice where an individual trains the mind or induces a mode of consciousness, either to realize some benefit or for the mind to simply acknowledge its content without becoming identified with that content, or as an end in it.
3. MEDITATION FOR PEACE OF MIND : In today's world where stress catches on faster than the eye can see or the mind can perceive, meditation is no more a luxury. It is a necessity. To be unconditionally happy and to have peace of mind, we need to tap into the power of meditation.
4. MEDITATION PROMOTES RELAXATION : Meditation promotes relaxation, builds internal energy or life, force develops compassion, love, patience, generosity and forgiveness. A particularly ambitious form of meditation aims at effortlessly sustained single-pointed concentration meant to enable its practitioner to enjoy an indestructible sense of well-being, while engaging in any life activity.
5. MEDITATION FOR SELF - HEALTH : Meditation often involves an internal effort to self-regulate the mind in some way. Meditation is often used to clear the mind and ease many health concerns, such as high blood pressure, depression, and anxiety. It may be done sitting, or in an active way.
6. MEDITATION GENERATES EMOTIONAL STATE : Meditation may involve generating an emotional state for the purpose of analyzing that state, such as anger, hatred, etc. or cultivating a particular mental response to various phenomena, such as compassion. The term "meditation" can refer to the state itself, as well as to practices or techniques employed to cultivate the state. Meditation has a calming effect and directs awareness inward until pure awareness is achieved, described as "being awake inside without being aware of anything except awareness itself." The rest in meditation is deeper than the deepest sleep that you can ever have. When the mind becomes free from agitation, is calm serene and at peace, meditation happens.
7. MEDITATION FOR CLEANSING THE MIND : Cleansing the accumulated mind is like cleansing the body. If we cleanse all the stains from our mind, then the natural flow of energy in our body is restored. The stained mind is the source of stress which can cause many diseases and illnesses.,#

Earlier I used to be easily tired physically but after some practise of chakra meditation, I remain energetic whole day and peaceful. Simple yet effective meditation methods are must for today's lifestyle.

It helps release stress and fatigue, rest the body and thus allow it to heal naturally by reducing the toxic chemistries of stress. Learning meditation from my beloved Sadguru Archna didiji has helped me to increase my focus, creativity, compassion, memory and productivity and has also helped me to reduce anxiety, stress, pain and depression. ReplyDeleteA study by UCLA found that people who practice meditation in the long run , have "less old" brains than people of the same age who do not. Participants who have meditated for more than 20 years have more gray matter volume. "We expected the difference to be minimal," said Florian Kurth, author of the study, "however, we observed a wide range of effects of meditation on different areas of the entire brain," he added.

Another controlled study compared the electrical activity between brains of people who continuously practiced mindfulness meditation and those who did not. And it was found that those who meditated had changes in the areas of the brain related to positive thinking and optimism.
